In an article for Games Industry International, co-founder of Mode 7, Paul Taylor, has opened up about the design process for their upcoming port of Frozen Synapse to mobile devices. In it, Paul confirms that an Android version of the game is being developed by a San Fransisco-based studio called Apportable and will be released this month along side its iPad brethren. If you haven’t heard of Frozen Synapse before, the game was initially released as indie PC title featuring singleplayer and online multiplayer turn-based tactical combat. It’s unique gameplay and game design gained it a lot of attention and a loyal fan base and Mode 7 have been looking at expanding its platform base for Frozen Synapse so that there can be more opportunities for cross-platform multiplayer.
