Devices continue to push the boundaries when it comes to how thin they are, and LG has decided to push it it even further with some new LCD displays.
The image above, shows off LG’s newest creation. A 1080p LCD display that is 5.2 inches, 2.2mm thick, and has a 2.3mm bezel. Are you intrigued yet? The bezel is pushed to the edge, literally, because if they were to go any further, they would have to start bending the screen. LG refers to this technology as Advanced One-Glass-Solution (OGS). This revolutionary technology inserts dual flexible printed circuits between the LCD panel and touch film.
Now since they have created this mesmerizing display, LG will try to implement the technology into their devices. We could end up seeing phones that are paper thin starting next year, so be prepared to lose them very easily in the couch cushions.
