If there’s one game developed by Rockstar Games that is truly made for a handheld device, it’s GTA: Chinatown Wars. Unfortunately, that title has eluded our beloved platform, that is, until today as GTA: Chinatown Wars on Android has officially been launched on the Google Play Store. The title was originally launched on the Nintendo DS, Rockstar’s first foray on a handheld device, and also made its way to iOS, but years have passed between that release and today’s. Still, there’s no sense being bitter – after all, GTA: Chinatown Wars was a surprisingly good game despite moving to a smaller screen.
If you’re of the newer gaming generation and the game’s perspective confuses you, that’s because GTA: Chinatown Wars uses more of a top-down view, something made infamous by the GTA series’ first two games. As far as we can see, the game is essentially a faithful port of the game with support for widescreen devices and also controllers and even Android TV. If you’re interested in checking out one of Rockstar’s lesser known, but just as good, titles, you can pick it up from the Play Store now for $4.99 USD; link is provided below.
