This War of Mine is now available for smartphones

Earlier this month it was announced that critically-acclaimed indie game This War of Mine would be made available for smartphones and earlier this week, that was made available on the Play Store. To accommodate the smaller displays (since the game was originally released on PCs and then tablets), 11 bit studios has had to redesigned the interface to still allow for the same level of control. Also, if you’re concerned about your save game not moving across platforms, 11 bit promises that its cloud storage will allow you to do this seamlessly.

I’ve already talked a lot about This War of Mine and how its one of the most emotionally gripping games I’ve played in some time. It’s not everyday that you get to play a game from the perspective of the so-called “collateral” in war, and it’s definitely a game that I recommend to everyone if they’re looking for something a bit more meaningful than the average video game. To celebrate the mobile launch, the game is currently 50% off at $6.99 USD which still isn’t that cheap, but I would still thoroughly recommend it.
