Ever have one of those applications where you’re not entirely sure why you downloaded it, but you still get a kick out of it all the same? Well the Talking Tom Cat app by Outfit7 is just one of those apps.
Basically it consists of an animated cat which listens to your speech and then mimics everything you say. My daughter enjoyed making it say that her brother had “cracked a rat” and my son liked making the cat say that his sister “was a stinkerpot.” The cat’s voice changes with the voice of whoever talks to him as well. So it’s not just a constant monotone, which makes it even more entertaining.
Yeah – loads of family fun at your fingertips. The cat laughs with you and you can also:
- Pet his head or body and he purrs
- Poke him in the head, belly or feet
- Pull his tail
- Pour milk for him to drink
- Forget him and he will yawn or sneeze
- Record videos (maximum of 30 seconds) and then share on YouTube or Facebook
It really is a nice little time-waster and the price is right; free with ads. It has received an average ranking of 4.65 from 47,000 users on AppBrain and performs as advertised.
