Samsung Galaxy Tab Gets Unboxed

We all know that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be hitting hands very soon, but some of us are still trying to figure out if this is the device for us. Tablet talk has been happening for a while now and while the world awaits its first high-end Android tablet, the folks over at Carrypad have received a retail-ready Galaxy Tab and have provided an unboxing video teasing us and showing what’s to come as we patiently wait the arrival of the Galaxy Tab near us. Check out the just over 14 minute video below. Enjoy!

Contents of the retail packaging:

  • Samsung headset
  • Standard adapter/USB cable
  • Power adapter
  • Usual paperwork

The Galaxy Tab is an awesome device and having played with a demo unit at the Android BBQ in Austin, TX, I thought it was great although the U.S. version will be lacking the voice-call feature that you see in the video above. Hopefully soon we’ll be doing an unboxing of our own.

Features of the Samsung Galaxy Tab include:

  • Android 2.2
  • 7″ WSVGA enhanced TFT display
  • 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor
  • TouchWiz UI
  • Front-facing camera
  • Wi-Fi
  • GPS
  • Bluetooth
  • Micro SD expandable up to 32GB

How many of our readers plan on hopping on the Galaxy Tab train?
