It looks like HTC is preparing to get in on the app store action as two sources have come forward and stated that HTC is actively hiring staff. HTC’s HTCSense.com cloud service may be the first step to achieving their goal as the HTC Hub app discovery assistant looks to be laying the foundation for a future app store.
With HTC’s latest Windows Phone 7 devices making their rounds and their various Android devices which have already started a huge HTC following, it would make sense if HTC ventured out with their own app store offering applications to both Android and WP7 devices.
At the moment, there is no word on the launch of this app store, just that they are working on it. We’ll most likely hear about this app store around the announcement of the HTC tablet, but again that is just speculation.
