Android 3.2 Update Rolling to Motorola XOOMs, AOSP Tree Updated

Looks like today is a good day for OS updates to hit our beloved devices. HTC and Verizon started pushing out Gingerbread to the Droid Incredible 2’s and now the Honeycomb 3.2 update is being pushed out to the WiFI XOOMs. The build number you should see pop up is HTJ85B. The update will give you that much desired application zooming and the much needed SD card support.

On a side note, Android Open-Source Project engineer Jean-Baptiste Queru, has pushed the open source portion of the 3.2 update to the AOSP tree. Don’t get to excited. The source code that is available is just for the GPL portion of the update. It has to be added to the open source tree due to GPL licencing requirements. He does offer up instructions on how to build from it and use it. So all devs looking to get their hands on that info, head on over to Google-Groups.

Looks like things are getting underway around the Android world lately.. Hopefully we start to see more devices and updates coming our way soon.
