The rumors were fun, but Verizon officially goes on record to announce Galaxy Nexus

I always find it rather entertaining when I see a story about a hot new device being questioned when it comes to the carrier we all knew it was head for. The rumor that Verizon might not get the Galaxy Nexus took center stage for a while. No one in the industry believed it, but it was fun while it lasted.  You can all let loose with a sigh of relief as Verizon has now officially released their press statement saying they are in fact carrying the device. As if we ever thought that rumor had any merit at all.

No new information is listed in the release. It basically outlines everything we have all read and watched a dozen times or more. They don’t mention a specific launch date nor a price point in the communication. They simply state ” Later this year.” If all the various internal screen shots that we have seen floating around come true, then we should see this device landing for $299 on Nov 10th. Here’s to hope right? Continue on if you are one of those people who like to read the press releases and hear it straight from the horse’s mouth, so to peak.
