Just when you thought the phone from the Android Gods was perfect, someone comes in and pees in the Cheerios. No phone is perfect right? Not even the Tegra 3 bad boy the HTC One X could not come out perfect.
This flaw comes from the boys over at Cnet. Basically what is happening here is that when you press your finger on the edge of the screen, there is a bit of a “flex” that happens, which causes pixilation and discoloration. Now I do not know about you, but I do not think I have ever pressed my finger hard on the edge of any of the phones I have owned. I have never felt the need to. This sounds like spilled milk.
This screen flex was demoed to creative director at One & Co, HTC’s design consultancy, Daniel Hundt, who claimed he was not aware of this. He then respomnded by saying, “We would have never shipped that,” and thought maybe these phones were just test phones. This being true, because the boys at Cnet got four One X phones and none of them were in a final retail package. Something tells me HTC will get this fixed though, before Apple goes on a “screen flex-gate” media blast campaign.
So who got an HTC One X? Did you guys replicate this supposed flaw? Let us know in the comments below.
