A while back
we showed you guys a great looking new music player called
Apollo being created byÂ
+Andrew Neal for CM9. It looked amazing and everyone wanted it. It was supposed to be released to the play Store but we haven’t seen it yet. That doesn’t mean that it isn’t out there somewhere for you to check out though. Looks like our old friend Tony found it just sitting around at Redmond Pie. I hate it when great things go unnoticed. Apollo is much like any other music player you may already have, but it is always fun to check out something new. They point out a more white themed motif going on instead of the classic black that many of us enjoy.
We haven’t played around with it much yet, but it seems to be working pretty well so far. Themes are planned for the future and this current version doesn’t have landscape mode yet. You don’t need root or CM9 in order to install the APK. You do however need to be currently on Ice Cream Sandwich of some variant and be able to install third party APK files. If you are interested in taking a little peek for yourself and see how it is coming along, just click this link.
