Another Jelly Bean OTA leaks for the Samsung Galaxy S III, almost ready for Prime Time

Back in the middle of August a leak came out for the Samsung Galaxy S III that moved it to Jelly Bean. The build wasn’t perfect and was dated back from the end of July. Still, it was nice to see a build underway. The build was labeled, I9300XXDLG4. Now there is another build leak floating around. This time with a build date of September 3rd and build number I9300XXDLI1.

This is great news and hopefully means that the official Galaxy S III Jelly Bean OTA update is close at hand. Some of you may remember that during the Samsung unpacked event they announced that the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy S III would all be getting Jelly Bean soon. They of course left out any time frames for any of the devices.

A few things before you go clicking around and updating things though. This latest build is strictly for the I-9300 Galaxy S III. Not for the U.S. versions of the device. There are still potential risks and possible bugs that might make this unsuitable for a daily driver. However, reports from XDA users who are already flashing and testing this latest build seem to have minimal issues. It is always recommended that you read through the forums and the comments for useful information before you go downloading and trying things out. Ya never know, might save your self a few hours of stress.

For those of you that are ready to snag the file and give it a go, or just to tinker around with, head over to AdamLange’s XDA Thread. He is maintaining all the leaks and keeping them updated regularly.
