Phone Halo Protect. Did you lose your keys?

Personally speaking, Â I have been one of those people to walk out the door to run errands and have forgotten my phone. I hate when I do that, I feel so naked without it! Never again!

Over at PhoneHalo,Â they have just released Phone Halo Protect in the market in conjunction with a Bluetooth device for us forgetful ones. The concept is simple. Pair the device to your Android phone (OS 2.0 or higher) Â and attach it to your keys, put in your purse, put it with your wallet or attach it to anything you don’t want to forget. Once it’s synced to your phone, if the device and phone are ever more then 35 feet apart from each other both the phone and device will sound an alarm to remind you.

Now you are probably thinking, ‘That’s pretty useful.’ But wait there is more! You can also set it up to alert your friends on FaceBook , Twitter, Email or SMS that you have lost your valuables. I say valuables because it doesn’t have to be the keys, it could be your phone. One of my favorite features is the alert system. Included in the message that is sent, is a map to exactly where your item is! Of course the accuracy is dependent upon your devices GPS but is usually good to within +-10 Meters. Accurate enough to get you nearly next what is missing. Â You couple all this with the ability to change the alert tone on your Android powered device, a lock screen with a lock timer and custom password and you have a very thought out well rounded useful application and device.
