Netflix has finally started to mature on the Android platform and is now running on just about every Android device.  It wasn’t long ago that only specific devices were targeted and developers in the community had to continually hack and modify the application of settings on their phones to get the application to run.  The application also had a few problems with the CyanogenMOD custom ROM and would  frequently break after each update.  That is no longer the case.
In a turn of events that no other community driven phone modification has ever had before, CyanogenMOD, the alternative ROM for almost ever device available is getting official support from Netflix.  In the latest release notes for Netflix, the What’s New section lists updates to provide support for CyanongMOD.

It’s pretty amazing that a ROM created by a single user called Cyanogen and now supported by a complete team of developers all over the world, is recognized by a major company to this extent.
If you haven’t tried CyanogenMOD yet, you should. CyanogenMOD is an amazing piece of work by a team of dedicated community developers and offers far more functionality than any current manufacturer supplied software.
