CyanogenMOD teams up with FreeXperia Team to bring CM7 to 10 more devices

It should come as no surprise that the CyanogenMOD team has its sights set on world domination. They are the single largest collective of people working on one ROM for more devices than I would like to count. They announced back in August that they would start to support the Xperia Arc, Play and Neo. Now, according to a Google+ post by Steve, they have teamed up with the FreeXperia team to bring CM7 to a total of 10 Xperia devices —

  • Xperia Arc
  • Xperia Neo
  • Xperia Mini
  • Xperia Mini Pro
  • Xperia Play
  • Xperia Ray
  • Xperia X10
  • Xperia X8
  • Xperia X10 Mini
  • Xperia X10 Mini Pro

The only device that I would have any concerns with CM7 running on is the Xperia Play. We can only hope that it will include the Playstation suite so you can still utilize the device as it was intended. Of course you could always just get an emulator and still be sitting pretty.

With so many devices supported by the CM7 ROM, I wonder how much longer before a we see an Official CyanogenMOD phone. If MIUI can do it with the MI-One, which sold over 300,000 units already, why not a CyanogenMOD dedicated device. I am sure it would sell like hot cakes here in the states.
