The G2X isn’t the only device with quad-band support for AT&T and T-Mobile’s 3G/4G networks. The guys at StreakSmart found out that upon unlocking the Dell’s new Streak 7 and popping in a AT&T SIM card they would still be presented with both 4G and 3G icons to represent the tablets current connection. This means the device supports both 1700/2100MHz (AWS) and 850/1900MHz.
Unlocking is rather simple but will cost you. UnlockStreak offers unlock codes for $49 and will email them to you within 1-3 days. Good news for the AT&T customers out there, and possibly the impending merger provided Dell hasn’t released another hot commodity by then.
