Hey, all you Foursquare fanatics and check-in champions! You might want to get your updating shoes on and head over to the Android Market to get the latest version of Foursquare. The latest update brings a pretty nice feature along with it — the ability to check a venue’s menu. Now, when you discover a new restaurant via Foursquare, you don’t have to actually go there to find out what they offer. This comes in handy for those who like to plan ahead and don’t want to waste precious time (and their server’s patience) studying the menu for an hour before you order. Â Restaurant menus are provided by SinglePlatform, and thus far seem to be pretty accurate. The restaurant I work at is already listed on Foursquare, and the online menu looks to be pretty on-point.
Also included in this update are:
- Workaround for GPS bug affecting some devices
- Update layout for pre-check-in screen
- Venue map zooming for nearby vs. worldwide
