We all love games, and there are many different kinds and styles of games, you have big hits like Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja which everybody knows, you have hardcore games like Shadowgun which everybody knows by name but not everyone has played and you have less known but still amazing games.
Gyro is the latter, it doesn’t have that many installs, and only 1001 reviews at the moment, however, it doesn’t make it any less great, in fact, 85% of those reviews are 5 stars. Gyro is an amazing game, simple to play, easy to enjoy, very hard to master and it can provide hours of fun. Put that in a free and ad-free package and you have a winner.
The rules are simple, you have a circle with 3 colors and small balls come at you from the top and bottom of the screen, all you have to do is rotate the circle to match the color to the incoming ball and catch it. Sounds simple right? Wrong, it is easy at first, but then it speeds up, forcing you to be constantly rotating and aware, even throwing doubles and triples at you, where you have to rotate the circle precisely to catch 2 different colors at the same time. The game provides you with some helpful power ups from time to time like shields, slow time or an explosion that wipes all incoming balls.
As you can see from the images above, the graphics are very simple with plain colors, but still it looks great and everything is carefully placed, you have no strange menus, no weird interface, nothing. It shines for its simplicity which adds to the beauty of this game, not only is it very addictive and fun, but it also looks great.
I’ve installed it some time ago and it’s one of those games that you don’t want to uninstall because you keep coming back to it, even if it is for a quick round (although as you get better a “quick round” could last a quite a few minutes)
