RP1783 of the AndroidStory team has successfully managed to get one of the APK’s from the HTC Nexus dump installed and running on CyanogenMOD 4.2.8.
The GenieWidget.apk has been installed and is semi-functional on CyanogenMOD 4.2.8 and is providing both news and weather in the application itself. The widget component will so far only give the weather.
The superstar of our team, RP1783 has modified both build.prop and build.trout.prop files into fooling the applications that they are running on a different version of the OS.
