When it comes to
home replacement apps,
GO Launcher EX comes up a lot. It offers speed, customization, battery saving and a whole lot more. How can a person pass up trying it when it is one of the most versatile launchers on the market and is free? While the launcher is phenomenal, one complaint from users was the lack of official tablet support. Since very few tablet optimized launchers exist, this is a great move for GO Launcher and one that needed to happen. Now you can get the same experience you already have on your phone, on your fancy pants tablet. The beta supports any tablet that is running
Honeycomb 3.0 or above. So Ice Cream Sandwich is supported, but those of you that are using a tablet with Gingerbread 2.3 won’t be able to try this out.
The only thing I don’t see in the changelog is mention of any theme support. Being a beta that doesn’t surprise us at all. You can bet that since it is being worked on, so are themes by GO Launcher Dev Team, and shortly, the rest of the themeing community.
You can hit the download link below to pick up right now, but we suggest checking in with GO for Android periodically for updated versions of the beta.
