Google+ Hangouts add free calling via Google Voice to US and Canada

Seems like every time I turn around there is something new in Google+. Be it an update in the app for our devices or the web-based version. Seems that another addition has been added to the Hangout feature that we all know and love. You can now make free phone calls via Hangout as long as you have a Google Voice number. Which I am sure many of you already do. If not, it is free to sign up for one and you will be off to the races. Some of you might wonder why this is such a cool addition. Well, not everyone has a Google+ account first of all, so this will allow you to chat with them at the same time with all your other friends. Other instances would be lack of front-facing cameras or devices that don’t have the Hangout ability. Helps you stay connected on the go even with out video.

All this comes after the last set of integrations such as the screen sharing option, which is pretty friggin awesome too. So next time you are talking with your cousin, feel free to give Grandma a call too. make it a whole reunion.
