Here is some more Galaxy SII Goodness to wet your whistle With

The press confrence in NYC recently ended, about 30 minutes ago, and even though they shared quite a bit of information in a very short time, it wasn’t at all what I expected. I was sitting here waiting to see brief demonstrations or something of the 3 variants that are to hit our shores. They went through some of the key features of the Galaxy SII and did do some demoing of the TouchWiz UI that has been drastically improved upon. a few of the newest features included in the latest model is a 10% larger batter than its predecessor. You can tap on the paginated dots to navigate home screens, or you can use the new ‘scroll’ feature that allows for scrolling back and forth. Certain widgets can now be re-sized easily on-screen, no need for a new launcher app for that one. Plus the addition of the new Media hub, which has been around for some time, but they have improved it significantly. Allowing the protection of the content to be stored on the cloud which allows you to purchase something once and view on any device that supports it. That is kinda nice.

During the event, all 3 carriers that will be selling the SGSII, started shipping out their press release statements as well. Lets take a look at the run down.

We’ll have more exciting details to share in the coming weeks!

Even though the differences in design a minimal, there is definitely a difference. The AT&T version sure does look extremely iPhone-ish to me. According to the spec’s they also have the smallest screen coming in at 4.3″ while the other carriers are rocking the 4.52″ display. Could that be a typo?? Not sure, still looking into all of this information. Sure doesn’t seem to make sense to me to use a smaller screen.

The rumor mill has already been bustling with a launch date of mid-September, at least for AT&T’s version. That would be really nice. The projected dates were never mentioned nor talked about at all. They simply stated “Fall” of this year. Which still puts it in the same time frame as previously reported, late October. Anything could change though.

For even more reading material on these three devices, be sure to check out Samsung.com, they have a hole bunch of great stuff up and even a sweepstakes is supposed to be on the way via their Facebook page.

Anyone else sitting on the edge of their seats ready to run to their respective cell provider and snag one of these bad boys?? I know I am.
