Just moments ago the
HTC teleconference ended. Nothing new was stated or released in the conference that wasn’t already made official and leaked last night. HTC bought 51% of Beats for $300 million. HTC now holds the majority in the company, nothing more. There was no formal announcement of any speaker phone improvements or integration for any HTC devices as of yet. If they do get around to it, that would be great, but most likely things won’t change much.  All beats operations and strategies will remain the same. This does, however, mean that HTC is the sole leader of the company and no other smartphone manufacturer can jump on its gravy train.
After the call ended a nice little tid bit of information was released by BestBuy though. If you head into any one of their many stores and pick up a HTC device, you will also receive 20% off the purchase of any Beats by Dre headphones. That is pretty cool.
I was a little disappointed myself. I was hoping to hear something ground breaking or amazing. I was fully expecting a full Beats authorized and supported HTC device with a speaker that worked well and sounded great. I guess we will just have to suffer a little longer and keep using our external accessories for good quality sound.
