We’ve recently become aware of a device known as the LG G3 Beat which is going to be released in China. When placed side-by-side with the LG G3 (right), the LG G3 Beat (left) just looks like a slightly smaller sibling; a LG G3 Mini, if you will. With a 5-inch display, the size of the G3 Beat might be better suited for those who think the G3’s 5.5-inch girth is just too much to handle, but as is the case with most ‘Mini’ models, the G3 Beat’s specs are a little disappointing.
While the G3 carries the monstrous Snapdragon 801 which trots along at 2.5GHz, the G3 Beat is said to be powered by an unspecified quadcore processor which churns out just 1.2GHz paired with 2GB RAM. Other notable specs include 16GB storage (with microSD expansion), 8MP rear camera, 2,500mAh battery, 4G connectivity, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The device is expected to be sold for 2,500 Chinese Yuan, or about $403 USD, though it’s not clear if the device will be getting an international release, presumably as the LG G3 Mini.
Would you get the LG G3 Beat if it were released in your region? Let us know your thoughts.
