That is a nice start. We need all the help we can get when I comes to saving what little money we all have.
To add a little more fuel to the Google Wallet fire, several merchants are also working in their loyalty card programs. Foot Locker, Guess, OfficeMax are now providing Google Wallet users the loyalty card programs that we all love having accessing to. Giving you the ability to buy, save and rack up points with out all the hassles of having your wallet with you.
It is still slow going to get this service out in the hands of main stream consumers and merchants. It is coming along nicely though. Google is already in the process of working out several more merchants that they hope to see on board before the holiday season. Chevron, D’Agostino, Faber News Now, Gristedes Supermarkets and Pinkberry are all in the works.
If you had any doubts about Google Wallet becoming the next big disappointment, I think we can safely say it isn’t going to go anywhere any time soon. Check out the short video below of the Google Wallet team showing off the service. They went out fully loaded and dropped a bundle of money paying for people’s purchases. Wish I would have been there for one of those surprise shopping experience.
