Here’s a fun rumour to start your week – according to Korean website, The Bell, Samsung is going to be announcing its annual phablet smartphone as early as July. What’s more, what we’re assuming will be called the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 could be sporting the latest Android software, Android N. Naturally, given how early this rumour is and the lack of other details, we’re going to have to take this rumour with a fairly sizeable grain of salt. The rumour also assumes a few things:
- Samsung will have its Android N software ready by July; according to Google, OEMs won’t be getting access to Android N till “Summer”, which starts in June for the Northern hemisphere. Samsung will have to work quick…
- Samsung would also have to push its launch schedule up again; the Galaxy Note 5 was announced in August, a month earlier than the year before, and we highly doubt they would bother doing it again (this was done to counter the announcement of the iPhone 6S), but it’s still possible.
We have to admit that we’re a little doubtful of this rumour, but we can’t dismiss it completely since it is within the realm of possibility given how far out we still are.
