One day after we had a benchmark leak out with some supposed specifications for the new Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, Samsung has officially announced the S4 mini and dropped the specs for the miniaturized Galaxy S4. Some of these specs were spot on, like the CPU and the camera specs, making the S4 mini look like a pretty viable mid-range phone.
Samsung has said that the S4 mini is designed to give you the S4 design but in a smaller, compact package that still delivers on performance and ease-of-use. The S4 mini will be debuting at the Samsung Premiere 2013 event being held next month in London, so we can expect to see lots of hands-on then. The full list of Galaxy S4 mini specs is shown in the picture below:
Looks like a pretty decent piece of hardware. The only part I’d raise questions about is the size of the battery, which seems a little small for a phone with a dual-core CPU that can reach 1.7GHz, and particularly as the S4 mini will be coming 3G and 4G LTE flavours. But I guess we’ll be finding out more in month’s time in London.
What do you think about the Galaxy S4 mini’s specifications? Anything particularly surprising? Let us know below if you spot something of interest.
