If you just so happened to be perusing Samsung’s Polish Facebook or Twitter feeds (Who hasn’t, right?), you would have noticed the above goofy picture (here’s a second one) and the following:
Sprzedaliśmy już 30 000 000 telefonów Samsung Galaxy S III na świecie! Mieliście już okazję sprawdzić jego możliwości?
Well, unless you speak Polish, that didn’t make any sense except for 30,000,000 and Samsung Galaxy S III. The magic of Google translates that into (with some word re-arranging and editing):
We have already sold 30 000 000 Samsung Galaxy S III in the world! [Have] you had a chance to test its features?
Anyway, right on the heels of  reporting yesterday that the Galaxy Note II has sold 3 million units in its first month, we learn that the SGS3 has sold 30,000,000 million units worldwide since its debut five months ago. Well, Samsung’s sales keep going up yearly with each successive Galaxy device as they capture more market share. The OG Galaxy S sold 10 million units in seven months and its successor, the Galaxy SII sold 20 million in roughly the same time-frame. This path is fairly linear, let’s hope it becomes exponential the same time next year and it takes an even bigger slice from the Cupertino pie.
