Sony Xperia Z Set To Become Available With T-Mobile

xperia zWhen I wrote my editorial on why I thought Sony and its smartphones were on the up and up, many of you commented that it was not available on enough carriers to gain the widespread adoption that the Xperia Z and its Sony brethren might deserve. Well, that argument is now one carrier less as T-Mobile is now picking up the Xperia Z in the US. You can order the Xperia Z at a physical Sony Store, or pre-order from T-Mobile before the 17th of July to net yourself a free Sony Wireless Bluetooth speaker. Otherwise, you can get a hold of one on July 17th where it will cost $99.99 upfront with 24x$20 monthly payments.

If you’ve forgotten what the Xperia Z is like, it’s a great 5-inch, Android 4.1 handset that is both water and dust resistant. It runs a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 which is slightly dated, but by no means a slouch, so it’s definitely still one of the best phones available on the market. We’ve also been seeing Sony slowly rolling out Android 4.2.2 to the handset, so it won’t be behind in that department for much longer either.

Anybody interested in getting the Xperia Z now that it’s on T-Mobile? Let us know in the comments.
