Sprint announces new “One Up” upgrade Plans

Looks like Sprint has finally jumped into the mix of getting you a new device with a new upgrade plan. Today they have announced the arrival of their “One Up” upgrade option for consumers.

Sprint One Up Upgrade plans
The program is pretty cut and dry, which is really nice to see. Participating smartphone customers can snag unlimited talk, text and data for an ‘introductory rate’ of $65. Which is $15 off the My Way standard unlimited plan. You pay nothing down and pay monthly on your bill for your new device purchase. Much like T-Mobile, the price is NOT subsidized. Meaning you are paying full price for the device but spreading the charge out over 24 months. With no down payment of financing fees that will put a single line with phone at around $100 give or take based on the device you are picking up.

For new Customers

To participate, customers simply purchase an eligible smartphone or tablet and agree to 24 monthly installment payments for the device. For a limited time, customers can enjoy no down payment for the device. After 12 consecutive payments, customers can give back their current device and upgrade to a new smartphone or tablet.

For current customers

Existing customers meeting upgrade eligibility requirements also can participate in Sprint One Up. In celebration of this significant launch, Sprint is rewarding current customers with the opportunity to join Sprint One Up through the holidays. Sprint customers who are not yet upgrade eligible, but have had their current phone for 12 months, can give back their current eligible phone and sign up for Sprint One Up, provided they meet the credit qualifications

Of course if you are turning in a device, it must be in good working condition. It doesn’t sound like too terrible of a plan for those of you out there with Sprint and are ready to move to something bigger and better. Anyone out there going to head into their local Sprint store and see what their options are? Be sure to check out the One Up landing page and check for store firs though as they say it is select store only. Don’t worry though, it will be coming to all channels soon.
