The Xperia ARC Will Finally Land Stateside

We originally brought Xperia Arc to light after getting some time with it back at CES 2011 in January. If you follow the site often then you will know how excited I was about it. Like many things I wish to add to my arsenal of gadgetry, the Arc was launched in only a few overseas locations. Thankfully that just changed. You can now jump on Sony website and order your Arc today for a mere $600. It will be unlocked of course and be sporting AT&T bands, which have similarities to T-Mobile as well.

I know January was quite a long time ago and many new devices have rolled out. Here is a little refresher on this device.

  • Camera : 8.1 megapixel – Fastest shutter ever on any smartphone
  • Screen Size : 4.2 inches5
  • Resolution : Reality Display BRAVIA Engine
  • Googleâ„¢ Androidâ„¢ 2.3
  • Processor : Qualcomm® QSD8255 Snapdragonâ„¢ 1 GHz
  • External Memory : 8GB microSDâ„¢ media card included4 (support up to 32GB)
  • Internal Memory : Up to 1GB4 (internal phone storage), 512MB RAM
  • TV Out : HDMI® support
  • Dimensions (Approx.) : 125mm x 63mm x 8.7mm
Just to name a few. We could through hundreds of specs at you and it doesn’t mean a thing until you see it in action or get to physically hold it in your hand. You can find an 11 minute video demonstration by HDBlog.it if you want to re-familiarize yourself with the Arc. Now I just need to figure out how to come up with $600.
