Those of you who own an HTC Evo 3D and have patiently waited for the CyanogenMOD 9 express to come rolling through for your device will be glad to know that your perseverance has finally paid off, thanks to the hard work of JoelZ9614 and a handful of other devout Android developers on the XDA Forums — your time has finally come to say hello to Ice Cream Sandwich! As per the bug list, it looks like the project is coming along nice and smoothly, considering there are only 4 things on the list: camera, 4G Wimax, SD card mounting to PC, and in-call mute look to be the only things not working.
If lacking any of those features isn’t a complete deal-breaker for you, feel free to pop on over to JoelZ9614’s thread for the instructions and downloads you’ll need to get you started. As always, you’ll want to make a backup before doing anything and remember to read up on what you’re getting yourself into ahead of time. Make sure to drop a thanks to the developers for their hard work, and let us know how you’re loving CM9 on your EVO 3D once you’ve got it booted. Happy flashing, Androidites!
