With the launch of the limited edition R2-D2 themed Motorola Droid 2 launching on September 30th, it looks like Verizon is already gearing up for a midnight launch that will be sure to lure out all of those Star Wars collectors. We’re hearing that a limited quantity of 50,000 devices were produced to pay homage to the DROID name. As you can see in the image above, some Verizon stores have already starting the decorating festivities as the 30th gets closer.
If you were planning on buying these devices in bulk and tossing them on Ebay, it looks like Verizon will be limiting the devices to two per customer.
