If you happen to have a rooted HTC EVO 4G and you are looking for something to make yours stand out from the crowd, here’s a great addition. Xda-developer member fachadick has compiled 200 different fonts that you can easily flash through your recovery.
A few weeks ago the member added in 12 new holiday style fonts. You can see a couple of them below. The first one is called “candycane”, the second “stnicolas” and the third “grinched”.
With 200 variations available you are sure to find something you will enjoy. You can see a screen shot and what the font looks like prior to installing on the forums thread, so have no fear of installing something you hate.
To use:
Just copy to sdcard and flash – these only change three files in the /system/fonts folder (effectively changing your main system fonts), so you can flash one on top of the other until you find one you like, but if you want to do a Nandroid backup first, that’s OK too.Notes:
Requires root. Should work on any Android phone.
Some of these look better than others, so ymmv.
I starred the fonts that I personally think look awesome.
