Verizon has announced today that 24 new live channels have been added the the FiOS mobile app, bringing the official count of channel access on-the-go to 88. The new channels aren’t your off shoot unknowns either. Verizons FiOS Mobile App now offers the following:
BET Gospel, BET HD, Centric, CMT HD, CMT Pure Country, Comedy Central HD, Logo, MTV HD, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, MTV Tr3s, MTV U, MTV2, Nick 2, Nick Jr., Nick HD, Nick Toons, Palladia, Spike HD, Teen Nick, TV Land HD, VH1 Classic, VH1 HD and VH1 Soul.
While some might not be your first choice, I can see a few good ones in there that will make TV when out and about a bit more enjoyable. The out-of-home app is free, but you do need to be a FiOS TV customer to access the content. It is available for select Android tablets and phones, as well as Kindle devices.

The app also offers more than 70,000 on-demand content from HBO, TNT, TBS and others with Viacom On-Demand content coming in the near future.
