Over the past few months the ASUS Transformer has made quite an impact on the Android tablet world, often vanishing from stores as fast as it arrives. Although the current models only feature WiFi with your choice of storage, this tablet has been quite successful given it’s price point and optional keyboard dock. In fact the only downside, aside from getting your hands on one, is the lack of added mobility by way of a 3G radio, and up until now we haven’t seen this functionality being explored. However thanks to ASUS’ Italian website we now have some sort of insight into what kind of pricing we can expect from the new 3G toting variants.
According to the site the 3G Transformer will offer the same hardware as the current slate coming in the usual choice of storage options.. As far as we can tell pricing is roughly $100 more for the 3G additions with the tablet reaching 499 euro ($717) for the 16GB version and 599 euro ($860) for the 32GB. Availability for the US has not yet been announced however, it has been mentioned that a European, or at least Italian, version should be expected sometime this Summer. Given the launch outline we saw upon release of this tablet it’s likely we’ll see it land in Europe first followed a or so later with an US release.
