8Pen Reinvents the Keyboard, In a Strange way

Android Keyboards are a dime a dozen. If you go into the market you’ll find keyboards that predict what you’re going to type, allow you to swype, and have a whole lot of hype. A very saturated market doesn’t stop someone from trying to reinvent the original product though.

Launching sometime today for Android 2.2 devices, 8Pen promises a more simplistic, yet faster way to pound out those text messages. The concept is easy enough, start in the center and slide your finger to one of four sections containing letters in the alphabet, then go around the circle through the number of sections the letter is up….huh?

Yeah, it’s a little difficult to grasp the concept and then to add in that 8Pen has rearranged the letters, in hopes of making it easier. The most common used letters in the English language are in the center and the least common… ok just watch the video below to get an understanding of how this reinvention is supposed to work.

Once it’s available for download we’ll let you know so you can try it out and let us know in the comments if this is going to be the next big thing in keyboards.
