A Little Time-lapse Video Recording Ability Simliar to the Galaxy Nexus Anyone?

One of the features that really stood out for me in the demonstration of Ice Cream Sandwich and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, was the time-lapse feature on the camera. To have that ability to take amazing time-lapse video in beautiful 720p HD had my jaw hit the floor. Well in comes Lapse It. Time-lapse video for the device in your very hands right now. Check out the list features this application has:

  • We have a unique and powerful render engine based on LibAV that creates amazing videos with the pictures that will be captured in regular intervals of time. You can even apply different stylish camera effects in them.
  • Lapse It is the ONLY app in the Market with this render engine, and the only one that really works rendering the videos in the Android proper format, so you can easily watch the videos on your phone and share to the web or other devices.
  • This new version brings more integration with social engines, like Facebook, Youtube, Google +, video trimmer, add special camera effects in the captures ( like Vignette and Camera 360 ), control the zoom and the long time requested auto-focus.
  • Time Lapse is a photograph technique that gives an accelerated view of slowly changing events. Events such as movement of clouds, the rising and setting of the sun, animal life, a party with your friends, even individual activities or anything else that you can imagine. You will see them in a new way and otherwise undetectable patterns will emerge.
  • The app have a built-in silent camera shutter, unfortunately it doesn’t work in some devices with privacy policy restriction, I can’t change your device but probably if you root it will work.
  • This is the professional version so you can capture pictures and render videos up to 720p (1080p soon). This is an alternative version that don’t use in-app billing system.
  • This app may be incompatible with your device, if you find any error, please contact us before leaving a bad comment in the Market and we will fix it.

Not to shabby folks. There is a limited free version and of course a PRO version that will set you back 1.99. I totally recommend this. Check out the video below that was taken by my roommate’s Droid Bionic. It is an 18 minute video that was brought down to 30 seconds running at 8 frames per-second. Now if only the commute to work would actually go this fast.
