Cross-platform play is a tricky beast, which is probably why it hasn’t been attempted by too many games. Aerena – Clash of the Champions, being developed by Cliffhanger Productions, is aiming to attempt their own take on cross-platform play by utilizing a turn-based strategy system which definitely levels the playing field over the platforms it aims to support which includes PC, Mac, Android , iOS and Browser.
The theme of the game is described as “Tesla-meets-Dr. Frankenstein dieselpunk”, and although the game is still at the alpha stage, the game is looking amazing already. The game looks like it’s going to be carried out like a game of chess, but with guns, which will be carried out on live and AI players. You will construct your team of gladiators, customize them and pit them against your enemies to try and “outwit, outmaneuver, and outgun” them.
There’s currently no released date for Aerena – Clash of the Champions yet on any platform, but the game is available on Steam Early Access on PC; if you’re interested, or just want to check the trailer out, you can visit the Steam page here.
