Alcatel One Touch 995 shots leak, possibly getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

French company Alcatel may not be one you’re familiar with, but the latest offerings from the rumor mill might just make them a bit more noticeable. Shots of a device dubbed the Alcatel One Touch 995 have popped up on the Web, thanks to some digging on NieuweMobiel.NL by our friend Paul over at AndroidAuthority — nice find Paul!

According to a tip from an Alcatel employee, the phone has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, and packs a 1.4-GHz processor. It also totes a 5MP camera, and from what we can see in the photos, possibly a front-facer as well? It is also rumored that the device comes with a unique UI, known as the 3D carousel (think SPB Shell 3D launcher), and will be thinner and lighter in comparison to competing smartphone models. The speculated price for the Alcatel One Touch 995, at this point, is EUR199.00. No date has been set as to when the device will launch, though there is talk that it could happen at next year’s Mobile World Congress 2012. Hit the break for the Android 4.0 hooplah on the One Touch 995, as well as a few more pics.

So what’s this about Ice Cream Sandwich? Well, even though the device is rumored to ship with GB, Alcatel has vowed that the device will definitely get the latest update possible. For now, we’ll keep this tucked away in the rumor drawer, but we could very well be seeing our first signs of ICS-ready Alcatel Android device. Stay tuned!
