All Developers now able to reply to users comments in Play Store

Have you left comments on apps you have downloaded? Asking questions or putting requests? Have you seen that you never get a reply, but instead are asked to email them? That was because only Top Developers were allowed and able to respond to comments in the Play Store. That all changes today though. The Android Developers Blog has announced today that all developers can now directly reply to user comments and feedback in the Play Store.

Google Play Store Developer Reviews
Any and all app developers will finally have the ability to reply, answer and address issues directly to users in the comments section for all to see. Giving the developer a more direct and public approach to speak in. Each developer response will be listed under the comment they are responding to and everyone who reads through the comments can see what is transpiring. When devs leave a reply, the user gets an email alert that it has been answered by the developer themselves.

This is pretty great news really. Now any issues you have, or suggested features can be publicly seen and responded to. This new ability for all devs doesn’t mean they will sit there and reply to every single person all day though. So don’t expect a flurry of alerts hitting your device. However, those devs that do care about their apps and their users, are sure to start engaging more. If you are a developer, be sure to hit the source link for some best practices to help build up your app and your users.
