Amazon Instant Video updates to include Android tablet support

The year is 2015. We have the ability to stream live TV to our phones, tablets, Roku, Xbox One and more. We can mirror our devices screens to our TV and access files remotely on our PCs from anywhere in the world. Hell, we can even stream triple A games and even get items delivered to our doors in 1 hour. However, up until today, you couldn’t watch your Prime Instant Videos on an Android tablet or cast them with Chromecast. While they still won’t play nice and give consumers who buy Prime the access to use it how they see fit, they are at least finally letting the app work on tablets.

What’s new in version 2.0.45.1010
Now watch Amazon Instant Video on your Android phones and tablets. Android tablet customers can search and browse for videos on Amazon.com in their web browser and tap Watch Now to have the Prime Instant Video app begin playing the video.

It still isn’t an easy, or seamless, process as you need to launch Prime in the tablets web browser to find and then launch the video. Don’t forget the need to install the app its self through the Amazon App Store before hand too.

If you have a tablet and have been waiting to at least watch Prime videos on your tablet, then bounce to the Amazon App Store and get the Prime Instant Video app installed. Don’t forget, you need the Amazon App Store app to get to it and to install it too.
