Amazon release a new app every day and many of them and pretty lame, but occasionally they release something worth while. Â Gem Miner is an interesting game, but can get a bitÂ repetitive. Â You’ll have to giver it a try for yourself.

Gem Miner: Dig Deeper offers a vast subterranean world teeming with metals, ores, gems and even the occasional pre-tertiary, present-era-challenged, fossil.

You are a humble miner at your journey’s inception, armed with little more than a basic pickaxe and some ladders. As your underground expeditions become fruitful, and the geologic discoveries are converted to cash, you’ll be able to purchase an array of useful upgrades. And as you amass the means and materials to dig deeper, you’ll soon discover even more valuable finds.

Canary-Safe Mineral Extraction

Gem Miner: Dig Deeper’s underworld is massive and rich with exploitable resources. A short lift ride down will take you underground. From there you’ll start your quest. Fill your pack and take it back to the surface to exchange for coin. You’ll quickly be able to purchase more ladders, walkways and support beams, bigger backpacks, brighter lanterns, mightier pickaxes, better sleeping conditions, underground lifts, survival kits, and more.

You’ll be venturing deep, so first and foremost, you’ll have to make sure to stay loaded with ladders. Also, you’ll have to watch your stamina. Stay down too long and you’ll have to use the loot sacrificing rescue service. The deeper you dig, the rarer and more expensive your finds will be. As you explore the earth’s inner layers you’ll come across silver, gold, gemstones, and other precious materials. Just make sure you have enough ladders to make your way back to the surface.

There Will Be Blood

With the possibility of great riches comes the possibility of even greater harm and Gem Miner: Dig Deeper offers fair helpings of career ending mishaps. Be ever vigilante of walkway-less crevasses and tunnel collapses. Stay stocked up on walkways to cross unforeseeable depths. Promptly place tunnel supports when the ground starts to shake. In the event of your untimely demise, you’ll lose both your life and your load.
