Android 4.0 based Smart TV by Lenovo now available in China

While we were at CES this year we had a chance to check out the entire line up coming from Lenovo. They had tablets, laptops and bunch of other Android goodies all over the trailer. While almost all devices were special and offered something cool, the one that stood out the most was their new Smart TV, the K91. It was Android 4.0 based and took the smart TV idea to a whole new level. While it still needed a little work back then, we would love to see where it has become now. Quite possibly our favorite feature was the connectivity options. You could seamlessly transfer your Lenvo Android phone or tablets movies and pictures right to the screen instantly. It incorporated facial recognition and voice controls. The K91 also brought with it a controller for playing Android based games full on with joysticks and tilt controls. The TV also was set up to convert anything on-screen from HD to 3D on the fly. It gave us a whole new dimension of Android gaming on the big screen. The Smart TV’s are now officially up for grabs in China for about $2,400 for the 55-inch K91 and $1030 for the 42-inch K71. No word yet on if these Qualcomm s4 packing Smart TV’s will US shores or not, if things do exceptionally well in China though, they just might make the boat trip over.

Check out the video of the TV in action below, but be sure to turn down your speakers or headphones. It is during the conference and the background noise is pretty loud.
