Android 4.3 starts rolling out to T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III

Android 4.4 KitKat is definitely on everyones mind when it comes to updates for their beloved devices. That doesn’t mean that an update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean isn’t also a welcomed update to be had. As it were, T-Mobile is starting the rollout for the Galaxy S III to bring it up from Android 4.1.2 to Android 4.3. A pretty nice little jump if you ask me.

As expected the update brings in support for Samsung Galaxy Gear, the smartwatch. It also adds in KNOX as well. It is worth pointing out that the update that is currently rolling out is only for the original Samsung Galaxy S III t999. If you happen to own the newer LTE (T999L) model of the device you will have to hang tight a little longer.

Keep your eyes peeled for your OTA on your device and make sure you have polenty of battery life and a solid Wi-Fi connection for the best possible install experience. If your patience is thin waiting you can always go grab the update via Samsung Kies as well.
