Just a day after getting a sneak peek at what it was going to look like, Android 5.0 Lollipop for the HTC One M8 Unlocked and Developer Editions has been made available today. The news dropped after HTC VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, tweeted that the OTA would be going out today, and it’s being reported that people are getting the update already.
As far as what we’ve seen from HTC‘s interpretation of Android Lollipop, Sense 6.0 is still going to be heavily themed and for the most part you won’t notice any differences at a glance. But Android Lollipop is the kind of operating system update where all the good stuff is in the details where things in the background make for a smooth, beautiful experience that is worthy of the full number jump in Android version. This timely update comes well within the 90 days that HTC promised to bring its update to the One M8, so we’ll have to see if they also make the cut with the One M7 as well.
