Around mid-November, we reported that HTC was just about to release the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the HTC One M7 and M8 GPe. As you can probably tell, it’s almost three weeks since that news and the delay appears to be dragging on. It certainly isn’t going to help when Google itself is too busy to process HTC’s new software build, something which HTC’s VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, has pointed to as the reason for the delay.
@forrestcarle Hi Forest, Google has not provided TA this evening due to their current workload. I’m expecting it to come soon.

It’s a pretty unfortunate situation for owners of the HTC One M7 and M8 GPe, but we’d assume that the Android Lollipop update will still be rolled out in time for Christmas. In fact, it appears that HTC isn’t the only one struggling to get Android Lollipop out to its Google Play edition devices as the only device that has officially gotten the update is the LG G Pad 8.3 GPe. Fingers crossed for all the HTC One M7 and M8 GPe owners out there that this update rolls out sooner rather than later.
