Angry Birds Attempt a Peace Treaty, Sequel to Reveal Pigs’ Perspective [Video]

With the addictive gameplay of Angry Birds, it comes as no surprise that it has become the latest phenomenon in the game world since Tetris.

As you know, the plot of the game is about a bunch of angry birds taking revenge on some green pigs for stealing their eggs. A new video parody has surfaced that attempts to put an end to many levels of conflict between the birds and the pigs.

In this hilarious video, the Angry Birds attempt to squash the beef by negotiating a peace treaty with their enemies, the evil pigs. Watch as the story unfolds.

Although this isn’t an official promotional video from Rovio, it is a good teaser for a sequel that fans will appreciate. Speaking of a sequel, the birds vs. pigs conflict is about to take a twist in an upcoming Angry Birds sequel that spins things off from the pigs’ perspective. It could be appropriately titled ‘Angry Birds:  The Squeakquel’ – just saying.

That’s not all that Rovio has up their sleeves for this franchise. Plans are also underway for a multi-player version of the original game, a TV show, a Facebook game, and also a launch of the game onto all major consoles including the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.

According to Rovio CEO, Peter Vesterbacka, “the aim is for Angry Birds to be bigger than Tetris.” Do you think Angry Birds will ever become as popular as Tetris?
