MWC 2015 is bearing down on us and manufacturers around the world are no doubt lining up their flagships to tempt consumers with come announcement day, and arguably two of the bigger announcements to be made will be from HTC and Samsung. We already know about Samsung’s event, where we expect them to announce a new Galaxy S6 and we have a good feeling there will be a double curved-edged Galaxy S Edge too. Samsung is often one of the first cabs off the rank to announce their new flagships, but if HTC Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon, is to be believed, HTC is going to get a 2.5 hour headstart on them this time around to announce the HTC One M9 at MWC 2015.

From HTC, we’re not only expecting a HTC One M9, but rumours have strongly suggested there will be HTC One M9 Plus as well, though the naming of these devices is still anyone’s guess. Either way, we hope that HTC replicates last year’s magic by having their devices ready to ship once the announcement was made – that was arguably the big difference between the One M8 and Galaxy S5‘s fortunes this year.
