Another round of Nexus specs leak, sounds more like a Nexus Now

I love it when things get interesting. When carriers fight, when law suites are tossed around, when things are said that aren’t true and especially when leaked info gets changed. That’s what just happen. We ran a report earlier of what some of the supposed specs of the Nexus Prime, or Galaxy Nexus, would be packing. It didn’t take all that long for those to get shot down. There is now another source claiming to have the true specs of the device. According to GSMarena, the only thing the two ‘sources’ have in common is the screen. It will be a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD showing off 1280X720. The rest of the sources claims are way off the charts –

  • 1.5GHz dual-core processor – Hoping for the Exynos
  • PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU
  • 8MP rear shooter with 1080p video capture
  • 2050mAh battery
  • Global-ready
Off the charts in a good way though. These seem to be more like the specs that we would expect to get from a true Google experience device. It would serve no purpose to Google, or any one else for that matter, if the specs were anything but amazing.
Five more days to go until we can get a full confirmation from Google and Samsung. I look forward to seeing who had the right stories.
